Hey everybody,
I've started this blog to chronicle my adventure in Europe. Starting Monday I'll be out of the states for 6 months, and it would be hard to keep in touch with everyone. I know you're all dying to know how I am, so thanks to the beauty of the internet, you can check out what I've been up to right here from the comfort of your own country.
Well, to start off, it's been insane trying to get ready to go. I was in school until a week and a half ago, and finals were really hard. I had to write like 6 research papers, ranging in length from 6-16 pages, and we had my roommate Otis's 3-year-old nephew living with us that week too. And I thought 3 people in a one-bedroom apartment was tight!
Needless to say it was hard to get all of my france paperwork done too. I had to get my french visa, get signed up for my dorm (Foyer Tolbiac), start an account with Bank of America (they have a french sister-bank so no ATM fees!), get my phone hooked up for international use, go to doctor and dentist appointments and get health forms, ahhh basically. Insanity.
So now it's down to saying goodbye to all of my awesome friends from Urbana, moving out of my lovely home, and back to Chicago for the weekend. Well, I'd better get to it, check back soon to hear more :)
